Used East Bank Storage to store my life for a year when I was out of the country. Very little not to like about this place.

Great staff, affordable, fairly easy to move in & out. My only complaints are that sometimes getting a cart can be difficult when they're busy. The hours can also make it a little tough if you plan to stop by in the evening.

They also rent Uhauls and sell pretty much any packaging you might need.

I had furniture/objects/art/lamps, etc. stored here for almost 3 years. My stuff was in perfect shape when I finally departed from my exceptionally well kept storage unit. Alan who runs things in the main office is kind/helpful and resourceful. The building itself is a wonderment in the ever evolving Bridgeport neighborhood. So much to see in and out of this great art and event location. I would recommend East Bank storage to anyone that needs a trustworthy location to store their personal and business treasures.

Wonderful customer service. Employees are attentive and responsive to questions by phone, email, and in person. The space is clean and parking is always available. Easy in and out!

I live in a fairly small condo in Chicago. Plenty of room for a single guy. But when I got married and my wife moved in with all of her stuff, we found that things were getting a little cramped... and the little storage locker we had in our basement was quickly filled to capacity.
I had always thought about getting a storage space to hold some of the stuff we don't normally get to, but had always managed to get by. But as stuff kept piling up... and a little flood in our basement ruined some old books and photos... we decided it was a good time to find a safer overflow space.
Happily for us, we came across East Bank Storage on 35th & Racine. It's a beautiful old building (formerly a Spiegel warehouse) with a massive freight elevator (I swear the thing is as big as my bedroom) and a huge loading dock which is easy to maneuver and park in (it was a catalog warehouse after all). We got a nice size storage locker for all that important stuff (art, books, photos, my collection of old toys...) on the third floor. It's air conditioned, easy to get in and out of and very affordable with a low monthly rate ($28!)... plus it will never flood! It's also very secure.... as you have access Monday - Saturday during their business hours. So I know no one is lurking around at night snapping off locks as happened to a friend of mine's locker in another place.
Another great thing about East Bank Storage is that they have a mailbox / shipping service in the office. We decided to get a mail box there (which my wife uses for her business). It's great to have an address you can have (UPS, Fed Ex, USPS) packages shipped to and know that someone will be there to receive and hold them safely for you... even on Saturday! Plus the office staff is super friendly and very helpful.
What more can I say? It's a great place to store my stuff (less clutter at home) and have my mail delivered to as well (less time waiting at home for a package to arrive... or less time waiting in line at the post office for the postal worker to spend 20 minutes trying to locate my package... to tell me they can't find it even though I have a delivery slip telling me that my package is at the very post office I'm standing at.... Arrrggghhh! But that's an entirely different Yelp!). ;-)

I have had a storage unit at this location for over 5 years. Not only is the staff very friendly, helpful and accomodating but they would call me to inform me when packages arrived. East bank was ideally located blocks close to my home and expressways. And while I had the storage for work, the 60 sq. foot space had still lots of room and was easy to get in and out of. There was plenty of carts available to use when moving heavier items and even staff to help. I highly recommend to anyone looking for extra space. They are very reasonable as well.

I've been using East Bank as a mailbox since September when I moved to Bridgeport. It is also where I get my packages delivered. Everyone was friendly, and picking up packages is really easy and affordable.

Great location, very clean, great staff all over a great deal best storage place that I have used and it is located in a very beautiful environment so you don't even feel like your going to a storage place.

I stored my things here for about two years. The facility is beautiful and everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the hours - not open on Sundays and close pretty early on the weekdays. I often had to rearrange my schedule to try to make it there. Other than that, this is a great storage facility!
