Issaquah Highlands Chiropractic, PS

So about 17 years ago I gave up on chiropractors after feeling like most just wanted to make small taps on my back or set my hips on blocks for 5 minutes then insist I come back for many weeks sometimes multiple times per week with no real results and much wasted time.

At some point early in my life I had had a good experience with chiropractic, so I knew it existed just could not find an honest office to work with. 5 years ago, holding a very stressful career I had so much stress and tension in my neck and back I had to start the search for an honest chiropractor again. Desperate to feel better and very cranky, I called several and interviewed them on the phone. Most doctors would not talk to me over the phone but I left a message on Dr. Upton's answering service and he personally called me back immediately upon opening.
Wow! The doc himself?! Unheard of, I must admit, I was rude and very abrupt asking questions like..."you are not going to rip me off are you?" "I don't have time or patience for that" "I just need my back fixed!"

Anyhow, Dr. Upton has a good sense of humor and a very casual, personal style with fast, professional results. I have sent many people to see him since and everyone comes back with a positive experience. I highly recommend!

Started going here about a month ago. Dr Upton was great at fixing my back problems. No upsell, wierdness, or funny stuff. Treatment included traction, hot pads, massage, and adjustment, along with some guided exercises (his clinic has some nice equipment for this). All common sense and effective. He's pretty funny too.

The massage therapist, Adrianne, is amazing! Full hour of treatment including a variety of different techniques including hot stones, and she does an amazing job on "computer neck", hands and feet too. My insurance is covering it for now, but even if not, her $65/hr rate seems very reasonable.

Out of desperation yesterday's I called all around Issaquah and Sammamish for a chiropractor to see me immediately for an adjustment and was blessed to fall in the hands of Dr. Mike! He has over 30 years of experience and is very eager to not only get you feeling better but to also educate you along the way. He got me in immediately, was extremely fair with costs, didn't require extra stuff just to gouge my pocket, and was a very fun and light hearted spirit! I will definitely be coming back. Dr. Mike is practicing with integrity, gentleness, and a great sense of humor. FYI several other offices I called in the area"required" a couple of office visits before they'd simply give an adjustment even after articulating that I don't have work related injury, or accident, in very good health, etc... This chiropractor has no interest in robbing you of time or unnecessary fees!

I got 2 massages here, both were full body massages and mediocre. In my initially chat with front office and the therapist, I specifically asked to focus mostly on neck and shoulder as I'd most pain and stiffness in those areas. However the therapist decided to di full body. Recep was nice to talk, but scheduling took several tries with a few cancellations due to holidays. Overall I was not impressed by their massage treatment, but can't speak for Dr. Upton's chiro skills as I didn't try that service.
