Our experience was a good one. The food is solid, not spectacular. It's more like a family, neighborhood place. We heard no English the night we were there.
Great deal--price fixe €27, decent wine list. Three of us had the lamb chops, one the fillet. Starters (escargot, salad, onion soup, Ceasar salad) were all good (as in clean plate good) but not spectacular. Dessert were much beloved. :)
So I guess I'm saying that this may not be your OMG dinner in Paris. But we can't swing those $$ meals every night. Service was professional. The waiter's recommendations were spot on. It was full on a Monday night with locals. So there you go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 30380814022013年12月27日
Le Bistrot du 7ème is horrible. Service is neglectful, unhelpful and rude. Food ranged from so-so to disgusting.
Started with lobster terrine (Terrine de homard) which was just okay. The andouillette sausage was disgusting, raw on the inside and made me sick the whole next day. Trout with almonds was flavourless and oily. Creme brulee was okay.
Service-wise, this is the worst service I received in Paris. Although the restaurant wasn't very busy, I couldn't get the waiter's attention throughout the evening. Often he'd be standing there doing nothing, but he'd avoid looking in my direction, ignoring me even when I tried to wave him down. When I paid the bill, the waiter complained that I hadn't given an additional tip, even though he'd ignored us the whole dinner and a tip was already included in the bill.
Decor-wise, the bistrot looks nice enough, with romantic dim lighting. Do not be lured in by its appearance!
Terrible experience in both food and service. Food made me vomit (literally).
AVOID this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle B.Manhattan, 美國16322192010年8月15日分享評語第一人
I went to this restaurant my last night of a 2 week stay in Paris. It was quite romantic and homey, and candle lit,.
The waiter was kind to my ignorance of the French launguage. The food was everything you would expect from French cuisine. I had white wine, with a white fish...don't remember what is was and Creme Brulée (yum yum!).
The crowd was a mix of locals and tourists. A lot of people with money (its in a rich neighborhood of Paris). But not snobby. I am sure I will return on my next trip.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ri C.洛杉磯, 美國281712011年6月14日
We went there after visiting the Rodin nearby and at 730pm, it is pretty much all Anglophones but most of the waiters were quite friendly and accomodating. Ours was just ok.
However, for Euro 25, the evening prix menu was really quite amazing. A great choice of starters, mains and desserts. Big big big American size servings too. A pretty good and inexpensive wine list as well. All in all, a great cheap French restaurant in Paris - finally!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shaun D.Biscayne Park, 美國8561842013年10月4日
The great folks at Fat Tire Bike Tours recommended this place and we're glad they did. After the tour, we were hungry and looking for a tasty meal nearby, which is exactly what we got!
Truth be told, this wasn't the best meal we had in Paris, but it's on the short list of places worth revisiting. If you're in the area and you're looking for a nice meal, you won't be disappointed here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Paula P.Sonoma, 美國15391282014年10月2日
We had our best meal in Paris here! And what a bargain. Everything was delicious. It was the best duck confit I've ever had. Our starters were terrific. Don't wait, go!

The food was average to above average. The service was professional but slow and slightly arrogant.

Loved it! Very intimate and in perfect neighborhood close to Les Invalides. Traditional French menu for affordable prices. Try the 27euros "menu" including a starter, main course and dessert. We will go back more often

We went to this restaurant on our visit to Paris in Sept 2010. We stopped in at L'Auberge Bressane but they did not have a table so we wondered over to Le Bistrot du 7. The staff was very welcoming, they found us a table and we had a wonderful meal here. I am not going to give 5 stars only because I have only been here one time. But it was one of my favorite places we tried in Paris. We had fish here and the trout with almond was great. But the salmon was even better. It was the kind of fish that melts in your mouth like butter. We did try the soft chocolate cake with ice cream and oh la la! It is very good. Good well priced wine selections.
This is a nice quiet neighborhood place that I would like to go back to on our next trip in September. Just the right balance of nice food, friendly staff who accepted my French but helped me along. Nice house wine. Really, what more could you ask for that a nice evening with good food and good service? Thumbs up. Could be a five star if it is still good on another visit!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jay V.Manchester, 美國18331642014年8月15日
My wife and I stumbled on the Brasserie during an August visit where a lot of Brasseries are/were closed. Located near the Invalides was convenient for our days events. There were more locals than tourists which is always a good sign for food quality and value.
We both decided on the prix fixe menu which consisted of 3 courses. Salad, duck confit, and Camembert with lettuce. ( there were many other choices) With a bottle of Cote Du Rhone the total came to around 65 euro.
Menu was in french and English.
Would go back with-out hesitation. Duck confit was the best duck I've ever had anywhere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
