Penwith Pitch & Putt

This place has not changed in the almost 2 decades that I have been coming here. It probably hasn't received quite as much tlc as it should have got though (much of the greens and fairways look worn), although comically random bits of the course look really polished, at odds to the rest. There is something reassuring about something that stays still while the world moves around it though!


Fun for families...but watch out you don't lose your ball. It will cost you 50p (mine was saved my a most fortunate rebound off a waterside electricity pole!).

I went with my family to Penwith Pitch and Putt having never played golf before in my life. I actually found playing here was very enjoyable. You get given a score card which tells you the par for each course and a map showing where is hole is. They also supply you with a putter and another club. We played all of the courses which took us about 2 hours. The course was well maintained and it was easy to follow the map. The entrance fee was relatively low and I felt it was good value for money. This is a great day out if you are inexperienced at golf like me but it's not confident players.
