I was in desperate need of a haircut having had no time to visit my usual hairdresser as her hours do not match well with my work schedule and busy weekends. This place was close to work, and less than £50 to cut my midback length hair. Perfect.

I walked past this place twice before realising it was there, as it also shares a storefront with a souvenir shop. Unlike many hair salons in London I wasn't offered a drink or anything upon arrival, but I wasn't really expecting it either. That is a feature that I am still not used to with London salons, the coffee or tea service while you wait. Kind of glad I didn't have to bother saying no several times here.

I was seated and showed the stylist my photo of the shoulder length hair I wanted. He talked over a couple things with me, then brought me over to have my hair washed, conditioned and a quick head massage, then I was brought back to the chair and he got to work. I was expecting to be seated for an hour, but my hair was quickly chopped to my desired style (simple layering for movement, shoulder length cut - all done very well), and then my hair was dried straight. This took longer than the cut. In between there was a bit of the standard chitchat, suggestions for hair colouring to cover my premature greys, and I was out within 20 minutes.

Overall the speedy service was exactly what I needed, and I have a great haircut. It's not a luxurious spa-like salon, but it does the job and does it well. Will definitely go back.

The service was very good. It's an inexpensive place and not a fancy salon, but they did a very good haircut (mine was a long women's cut). I love the new cut. The woman who cut my hair (not sure her name, but she has short brown hair) was really nice, gave me good advice on style and didn't rush, and did just the cut I wanted. It was really inexpensive too (£23).

so i went here for a haircut after work. i had booked an appointment after doing some googling and just trying to find a place close to by job - it had been ages and my hair needed cutting badly.

the prices seemed reasonable (for london). as a california transplant, it's been hard to adjust to the price of beauty here. :)

i was seen quickly by what seemed to be the owner. he did a great job and in record time. he was going so quickly i was getting a bit concerned about the outcome but the cut was great. solid layering, good fringe, and he blow-dryed it expertly all in 45 from soaking wet to cut and trimmed to soft and fluffy.

my only pain point is that what i ended up paying was way more than what i wanted. i thought it would be about 20 pounds and ended up costing me 30 pounds plus i left him a 5 pound tip. it was worth it - the cut was good. but given the price i actually paid, i probably could have gone to a higher end salon, but who knows how the cut would have turned out i guess.

the quest continues for a nicely priced salon with nicely done cuts...
