Streits Lounge

huh? Why is Streits Lounge rated as the best bar in Hamburg? Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems to be an expensive, soulless place, that you'd only ever choose to drink at if you were there to watch a film. I mean, it's in a cinema lobby area ffs.


I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to have a drink there, ever.

When you step into this private kino you are immediately taken back to the roaring 20s. The old photos, the history, the seats, the walls, everything. So when our company was planning the Christmas Party I knew this was the perfect place to have it. Jan, the person in charge, was extremely helpful and friendly during the planning process and accommodated not only our needs but went above and beyond to make the night a great one.

The Studio Kino is part of Streits Lounge and is actually separate from the Streits Kino which I am sure most of you have been to. The Studio Kino is a hidden gem, after making your way through some hidden ally ways you make your way to the studio and are transported back in time. The atmosphere was perfect, the drinks were delish, and the night was perfect.

I would highly recommend this place for any special occasion you may have.

A lovely little loung bar in the Streits Kino. Seemed like a shame to leave it and go watch the film.

The cocktails at Streit are lovingly prepared and taste great. The Knabber snacks were readily refilled and the waiter was very friendly. We were there for the Blue Hour between 8 and 10.30 aka Happy hour, would recommend going at this time as well. The location is directly on Jungfernstieg. Only criticism was the waiting time to order even though the lounge wasnt full!!
