    • Q:

Are there any vegan options here (no dairy, egg, or meat)? Do they have an alternative to the traditional ramen noodle, like udon or rice noodles?

      A:

Hi thank you for your inquiry. We have a vegetarian ramen (garden ramen) and a vegetarian fried rice. Both can be made vegan by taking out the egg and the butter. We use ramen noodles exclusively. Thank you

      I am BIG on RAMEN!!!
This place had been on my ramen list for a bit now...

      Here's the delicious breakdown...

Started with $9 large hot sake

Lamb ribs -amazing flavor (not enough meat for $12)

Sashimi sampler - choice of all salmon or tuna or 1/2
We went with 1/2 tuna and 1/2 salmon... the Tuna was not the best. Asked the server to give us all salmon and they quickly fixed it and it was perfection.

$14 Kimchi spicy ramen WAS FANTASTIC!!!!
(Highly recommend)Flavor profile was on point!!!! A little spicy but you can add extra chili oil for a kick

$14 Classic ramen was good. The broth was not as thick as I like it but it was decent. Added some soy sauce and lemon to it with a little bit of the chili oil and it was perfect! If you like the classics stick to this one... but if you want the full flavor go with the Kimchi ramen

      Server was nice
      Place was clean and inviting

I used to go to Ichimi ramen down the street... I think I found my new spot. ($14 compared to $18/$19)

I waited a bit to do this review due to the fact that I had gone on a ramen binge for about a month, and I needed to make sure that the excellence and the food party I felt in my mouth was not just the result of a new obsession.

Best ramen around. No kidding. Girlfriend kept raving about this place and she made it a point to drag me to it. Immediately felt quite at home, and surprised... I don't remember at what point I started listening to remixed video game music when I was there, but that was amazing!

The menu has some variety, but I strayed away and opted to mainly look at ramen. I saw a special for a truffle mushroom ramen and was tempted, but I decided to stick to my guns. I ordered the classic tonkotsu as-is, and my girlfriend ordered the spicy kimchi ramen with an extra egg. Food was served pretty quick and I was on the way to heaven.

I have to say that this is what I am comparing all ramen to going forward. What a delicious concoction. The broth was savory and that the perfect amount of density, with a perfect color. The noodles were soft and tasted great. The pork belly was tasty and easy to break into pieces, and not full of inedible fat - it was rendered properly. I chose not to add too much spice to my dish as to not compromise the flavor. I don't call many dishes perfect, but I believe this is what the perfect ramen should be. I was that impressed. I did try my girlfriend's kimchi ramen and I found it amazing in its own light, but I will refrain from reviewing it from just the one bite.

We stuck around for dessert and ordered a set of Thai donuts. It was served with the traditional condensed milk, but also a chocolate dip and some black sesame seeds. I was not a fan of the other two dips, but the condensed milk went perfect with the taste. The girlfriend hogged all of the black sesame seeds, so balance was attained in the end.

Also... the chef does classes? This was so good, I am considering it. Apparently when they pop up, they book fast.

This is the Miami ramen destination until proven otherwise. Decadent. Mad I did not get to taste their truffle mushroom ramen special, but I'm sure the other ones to come must be amazing as well.

I had Lan Ramen-Ya on my radar for a hot minute and decided to pop in recently.

Lan Ramen-Ya is brought to you by the owners of Lan Pan Asian cuisine which is another one of my faves, so I was expecting deliciousness.

I was not disappointed in the least. I opted for the classic ramen, which comes with tonkotsu pork broth, pork belly, and all the other goodness that Ramen entails.

The serving is huge, and it's only $14. The also offer lunch specials and happy hour specials as well.

Would love to check out the Kimchee ramen - so I'll most definitely be back!

The moment I stepped into this quaint little restaurant I was taken back to my trip to Japan. The smells.. the decor...the innate "homey" feel of the location..

The menu is pretty straightforward; appetizers, ramen or not ramen. But I did notice they had a good amount of vegetarian friendly dishes. The ramen section also offers a good variety of add ons to customize yours to your liking. I went with the Shoyu ramen and my boyfriend went with the spicy Kimchee one. We both completely loved our dishes. The pork belly in the ramen is so flavorful (not the usual steamed), the noodles cooked to perfection, and the broth delicious. Huge portions for just $14.

The servers were all sooooo friendly. Refilled our waters often, checked up on us, food came out quick, smiles on everyone's faces. It was overall such a great experience, this is easily going to become our new local spot to frequent. Would definitely recommend!

Very good ramen. Different broths are clearly distinctive in flavor, ingredients are top notch. And, unlike most ramen I've had, it's not over salted. I and my wife have been here twice at dinner time. They're a little off the beaten path in the Gables, and surprisingly haven't been terribly busy for dine-in... they clearly do a booming takeout business, so don't let the quiet restaurant deceive you!
If you can, I'd suggest sitting at a bench seat rather than a table... the a/c is a little strong at the tables against the right wall (as you walk in), so we felt a little rushed to eat before things cooled off! The vents don't blow in the bench seats.
We tried the fried mushrooms as an appetizer on our last visit... they were delicious!
      We'll definitely be back again!

There are two ramen places in the Gables that have been on my radar for months and I see the check-ins all the time from fellow yelpers. It seems like I'm the only one that hadn't been to either one yet. A friend advised me that Lan Ramen-Ya was the better one of the two and in this foodie friend I trust. And so I finally went..

I ordered the Classic Ramen and I also tried some of the Kimchee Ramen. Both ramens were made with love. The pork was perfection and so was the soft egg. The noodles had a nice texture. The most noticeable difference between the two ramens was obviously the level of spiciness which was part of the reason that I liked the Kimchee Ramen more. But, not only that. It had such a nice, unique, and robust flavor overall. My Classic Ramen was also very good, but I definitely had to add some hot chili to it. Both ramens were excellent and also some of the best in Miami. And at a very reasonable price of $14 per ramen.. can't beat that.

Lan Ramen-Ya also serves a variety of sides/appetizers. I ordered the Kurobuta Sausages, one of my favorite sausages. This one was so flavorful, but I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to this one because I've had a better Japanese Sausage at a certain other place that I frequent. A better one, but not by much. Japanese-Style Fried Chicken was ordered by a friend. I can compare this to a Karaage Chicken as I assume it's the same thing. Also, the same result as I've had a better one, but this one is still worth re-ordering. All in all, I love a good ramen place with good sides. It keeps me coming back for more.

Join the easy rewards program by Lan Ramen-Ya. It is a points system and very easy to join by way of text message.

And last but not least, service was on point. Our server was very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. He filled our waters on time. Couldn't ask for more and it's a shame that I forgot his name.

Have been wanting to try this for a while but somehow they are always closed at the time/day we want to visit. But finally, we are here.

This is a cute small place with adorable wall painting on one side and TV screens on another. The waitstaff is nice and efficient. I am surprised to find that they do offer many other dishes besides ramen. They have a lunch menu which does not include ramen though it looks interesting. Well, maybe another time, but for now, ramen!

There is only 5 varieties of ramen, mostly rather traditional offerings such as miso and tonkatsu, though there are plenty of extra toppings you can add to.

Pretty good flavor, noodle has nice texture, pork is tender, egg is nicely soft. The tonkotsu is flavorful without being too fatty. I don't care too much for the ground chicken, and I like the tonkotsu with its pork more.

I love ramen. I've had it in NYC, I've had it in DC, and I dream of the day I go to Japan and have some. Maybe because I've been spoiled by having it in different places, I've become quite picky with ramen. It doesn't help either that ramen in Miami is practically nonexistent and the bit that does manage to survive is acceptable at best. Mind you, this is my opinion without even delving into price.

Because of all the aforementioned, I was hesitant to go to Lan Ramen-Ya. I figured it would get in between the cracks and become just another okay Asian place that serves ramen. Despite this, I still wanted to try it as some part of me hoped it would be different. I finally worked up the nerve to do so on President's Day only to find it closed for the holiday. This past Friday, however, it was open, and given that they take American Express cards, that is essentially how we ended up there. I am so pleased by this circumstance.

When we arrived, we missed it. We had a feeling we would. The signs of this restaurant aren't exactly very prominent, but nevertheless, we found it by slowing down. It must have been our lucky night, or rather the reality is I don't think this place has reached peak popularity yet, but we essentially got a parking spot right across the street from the restaurant. We entered, sat down, and were brought menus to peruse right away.

I had read some of the reviews beforehand, so I had an idea of what I wanted. I had the salad that does indeed come with an amazing dressing. I then ordered the kimchee ramen. My boyfriend, on the other hand, ordered some chicken bites which were delicious. The texture itself reminded me a bit of calamari. He, too, had the kimchee ramen, as well as some uncommon beer that was huge. The kimchee ramen was labeled as spicy and I scoffed. I find most places say something is spicy and it isn't. Believe it for this one though, but note that it's not an unbearable spicy, just a spicy full of flavor.

My mouth wanted to do a waltz. Everything swirled happily, a combustion of different spices. The ramen itself was a delectable treat. The pork was perfect, the egg, oh, the egg, I could dream of the egg alone. I really do think I need to get a second one next time around. The egg was cooked exquisitely, needing nothing more to be done. Biting into it, the gushes of the yolk and the skin - simply heavenly. The nori was great. My boyfriend even ordered extra. Everything paired well, although the noodles came as a surprise. They were thicker than I thought they would be, but hey, it just makes it a more indulgent meal.

If you left broth, like we did, you could take it home and for $2 more, get some noodles on the side. Hello, quick second meal! Must say it's worth it, and on some off chance, your refrigerator decides to pull a fast one on you, like it did me, the noodles itself make a fine addiction to another meal. The broth ended up freezing on me for some unknown reason (sigh; my fridge is the devil), but the noodles were on point and I happily made my own recipe with them. That said, they only have one dessert option, mochi, and we would have had that except we wanted something with more substance. It's two pieces of mochi for $5. I find that a bit expensive, but that's because I get a box of six for $4 at Trader Joe's.

Anyhow, we will definitely back. The staff is kind and efficient, the ramen the best in Miami, no exceptions, and honestly it's a nice place. I love the wall art that they have with a samurai, a young girl, and a sumo wrestler slurping on ramen. It's just too cute!

OMG this place is my happy place when I am in the Gables and need some ramen! My GF and I will often walk the 20-30 minutes to Lan Ramen-Ya because we love the food that much.

Every single time I come here, the service is impeccable! Friendly and not bothersome, they are always smiling and know just when to stop by and see if you need anything. A++++++

The food. OMG the food. Everything I have ever eaten here has been an amazing symphony of flavors. My tastebuds cry with job when I eat here. Whether it is the hot brussels salad, the cold brussels salad, the pork and chive gyoza, the kimchee ramen, and my GF's favorite the special fried rice. Everything is on point! The tastes are just fantastic and you will wind up eating every single piece of food on the plate or every last drop of broth in the bowl even if your stomach is telling you that you have no more room. The prices are more than reasonable. This is the place to go if you want to have an amazing food experience!

The search is over. I've finally found my go-to Ramen spot in Miami. My fiancé and I have been looking and after trying multiple other spots ( see my previous reviews) We had never found one that compared to the authentic ramen we so enjoyed in NYC-- until tonight.

We dined here at 8pm on a Tuesday. After doing a quick Yelp search, this restaurant popped up on our feed. Having no reviews and no tips yet, we were a little weary to give yet another ramen spot in Miami a shot, but boy are we glad we did!

We were greeted immediately by the owner, a very friendly man who told us that they had just opened one week ago and were just getting things started. He is also the owner of another restaurant that's been around for 17 years, Lan PanAsian Cafe by Dadeland Mall and decided to open a new and different spot in the Gables.

We ordered 2 Classic Ramens with chashu pork, one extra spicy and the other mild. We only had to wait 10 minutes before being served the dishes. The portions were large, noodles were authentic and cooked to the right texture, the broth was bursting with flavor, not salty like all the other spots we've tried down here. The ramen came with 4 large thick pieces of pork, absolutely delish!!

The ramen here compares to some of the best places that I've visited in NYC.

** if you finish your noodles and still have some of the tasty broth left over, just let them know and they'll bring you another bowl full of noodles for just $2.

      Yes!!!
