average price: 9,90€ for sweet crepes. i think closer towards 12,00€ for savory crepes.

i don't know if this is always the case, but it gets packed right after work hours. it is a tight space, so you want to be mindful of where you step! they make use of every square footage here. nevertheless, if you find a seat for yourself, you will enjoy just about anything on their menu --- from sweet to savory crepes! i recommend a scoop of vanilla ice cream to pair off the sweet crepe. and the coffee is a sure cherry on top.

tip: make your wallet or a change of 15,00€ to 25,00€ (or more) easily accessible for an easier exit when you are done with your meal.
      bon apetit!

When I was flying en route to Paris, I met a really nice French couple who gave me a bunch of places to see and food places to try. One of them said that for the best crêpe, you have to go to rue du Montparnasse where crepes were originated before spreading out to various areas. It seems that way because when I walked there, both sides of the street as well as the next street over were filled with several crêpe places to choose from. And since my flat was not too far from the street, I definitely made sure I stopped by.

We ordered the combo where you get a savory buckwheat version which is called a galette and the salted caramel crêpe for dessert afterwards. And since the traditional way of eating crêpes was with apple cider, we ordered that as well. When in Paris!

The galette was crispy and so tasty and the crêpe was a bit too sweet but still just as good. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the apple cider since I'm not usually a fan of apple juice or cider.

Depending on when you go, you may need to wait a little bit outside since the place is pretty tiny so go early! A must try if you're in the area.

We were looking for an authentic creperie while we were visiting Paris so we asked our concierge and they recommended this place and said it was the best that he knew of. It's quite a walk from the hotel but worth it. It's down a street full of creperies and this was the only one with a line outside of it. It gets quite crowded as it's small but worth the wait.

*Their crepes are double crepes and made with wheat - a huge plus for me!
*Saumon Fume (smoked salmon, lemon & creme) was delicious. Not too salty at all and you add as much lemon & creme as you want.
*My cousin ordered the Josselin (eggs, ham, cheese, mushrooms) and loved it. The only thing that she would change is that they used canned instead of fresh mushrooms.
*They come around and ask you if you want dessert once you finish your meal. We ordered the Montquaise (banana, chocolate, rum & coconut ice cream) and they flambe it as they walk to the table. Delicious! And it arrived in less than 5 mintues!
*Each crepe is about 8-11 Euros each.

Definitely worth the walk from the Louvre but there are metro stations near it (Montparness is one of them). Would recommend this to others.. but it's closed on Sundays.

Just to give you the background on the situation... I am an American that came to Paris with my Mom & sister on our vacation. I spent a summer in Paris as an intern with much of my personal time in Levallois Perret, but it was a little far to try to track down my favorite crêperie in my old town since we wanted a quieter less expensive area to stay in and opted for Montparnasse. But my point bring that I am familiar with real french food, and I do speak French.

Enough about me, now to the review: While we were hoping to go to Crêperie Josselin (since it had such great Yelp reviews) they we closed for summer holiday, so Petit Josselin was a nice second option which did not close for holiday.

The service was very friendly and I even notice them accommodating Americans that did not even attempt to use ANY French (merci, s'il vouz plait... the basics) and they accommodated them with a very positive demeanor. I consider this to be exceptional service in a small town in Paris! Most local places will get very rude with Americans that can't speak any French.

I got the crêpe Josselin avec Roquefort, my sister got the Josselin, and my mom got the sausage crêpe avec champignon. (Roquefort is a very strong blue cheese, champignons are mushrooms, and the Josselin came with egg, cheese, ham, and mushrooms) Adding any additional ingredients is 2€ extra. We also ordered a large bottle of cider and a sweet citron crêpe (lemon). The dessert crêpe was my favorite!!

The low down is the savory crêpe was very tasty although much more greasy and crispy than the crêpes I am used to. The moment you walk into this very tiny restaurant you can smell sautéed butter. A delicious smell, but can be somewhat overwhelming! I am more used to a crêpe being a thin pancake, not a greasy flour chip. Nonetheless it was very tasty and the dessert crêpe with 3 espressos made the meal!

My last comment that I eluded to, is the size of the restaurant. It is tiny! My mom & sister hand to lean forward so as not to hit their head on the very large wooden decoration on the wall and you are very very close to the other patrons and servers as they move around. Since you are in Europe, and EVERYTHING is smaller thus did not bother us, but it could bother some who aren't used to it.

Overall, this place had good food, very friendly service, and an adorable personality to it. I would like to try other crêperies on the block (since there are many) but I wouldn't hesitate to go back if the opportunity presented itself.

It's rare for me to eat in a crêperie in Paris, as my partner has exposed me to the real thing in Brittany--and at a quarter of the price. That said, I don't make it to Brittany as often as I'd like, and sometimes I crave a good crêpe.

Le Petit Josselin is one of many on the rue du Montparnasse. Just like the others, it has tiny wooden tables that make you bump elbows with your neighbor, a whole host of options for crêpes and galettes that make your mouth water, and the usual pitchers of cider. When I studied abroad here years ago, I tested most (if not all) of the crêperies on this street, but the only one I remember is the Petit Josselin.

You should only come here if you're extremely hungry. Craving tomatoes, mushrooms, and cheese, I ordered the vegetarienne and could barely finish it. It looked as though the chef had taken a square meter of buckwheat, stuffed it with the ingredients, and folded it over several times. It was that large. With much time and a little pitcher of cider, my girlfriend and I finished our giant galettes and decided, upon seeing the chocolate-covered crêpe next to us, that it would be a shame to pass up on dessert, no matter how full we were. We split the beurre-sucre and it was just fine.

It felt wrong to pay 16€ for such a meal, where just four hours away I could get the same meal (with a larger pitcher of cider and a dessert crêpe by myself!) for under 10€. But if I happen to need a fix and can't take a train to Pontivy or Carantec, I'd come back here.

What is the most delicious thing on Earth? Crepes from Le Petit Josslin. On a street with about 15 creperies, this was the only one people were willing in line up in the rain for. So we did too and we did not regret it! Best thing I've probably ever eaten in my life.

Had the best dinner here after reading reviews on Yelp. Egg, bacon and onion galette was absolutely amazing. The homemade toffee crepe was amazing. Also tried the house cider and it was also wonderful. We got a table outside and enjoyed the views. Popular place, and will worth it.

This is our first visit here. We had been to "sister" restaurant Josselin, but they were closed today. This location, 2 doors down, is even smaller and you will definitely get to know your neighbors! The variety of savory crépes is extensive, as is the sweet selection. This time I had a savory with cheese, potatoes, mushrooms and chicken. My husband and I also shared a bottle of cider, which is a must with the savory crépes. We were too stuffed for sweet crépes today, but the other patrons enjoyed theirs, especially the ones that have alcohol and get "lit up" by the servers. Speaking of servers, they were very friendly and spoke English well. Bonus- this location takes credit cards (15€ min) while the original does not.

This place features food that is typical of Brittany. I had the crepe with sausage and tomato. They have a number of choices so you can find one you like.

I came here my first night in Paris, because the friend I was visiting lives nearby. Josselin is apparently a famous crepe place, and Le Petit Josselin is a smaller extension of that place just a few doors down. We chose to come here instead of the original because the original had a line down the block, even at 10 pm. I had La Gallinette, which had chicken, chevre (goat cheese), tomatoes and spinach, I think. The ingredients were incredible and tasted very fresh. The crepe itself was good but not the best I've ever had. It was a little greasier than I prefer. We also shared a chocolate dessert crepe and it was outstanding. I like the texture and taste of the batter they use for the sweeet crepes more than the buckwheat batter they use for the savory crepes.

By the way, there are a lot of crepe places on this street and my friend says you can't go wrong at any of them - so if you are in the mood for crepes I definitely recommend walking along this street until one creperie catches your fancy.
