Great for books for any taste and staff are friendly and there's books you can ask for and I been in this shop before and it's affordable and if you got any unwanted books and take them there to give them for free and you don't get money for them

This is great for second hand books of many varied types and lot's of current ones. I've had some really useful travel guides from this shop which I've passed on again once used. Great fiction and non fiction, friendly assistants when I've been in. Only problem can be parking on Queens Rd but that's not there fault. Check it out.

This is the best place in the area for picking up good second hand books. There's one round the corner, on Clarendon Park Road, but that's full of utterly bizarre books that you can't imagine even JR Hartley wanting to buy. Thanks largely, I guess, to its university surroundings, there's plenty of highbrow 'English literature required reading material' to be found in here, but some genuine gems too. I got things i'd been looking for for years, like EF Benson, for a song and there's a lovely autobiography section too. Plus old maps, crime, and local history reads as well as a pricier first edition section, too. The only problem is, I'm running out of shelf space....
